It seemed like just yesterday I met this pretty young lady wearing a black bikini at Breezy Point Resort who would later become my wife. We were married 34 years and built a wonderful life together but today I had to say “See you Later Babe” for the final time in this life.

She fought breast cancer for 26 years with the most recent diagnosis, surgery and treatment Fall of 2023.  She continued follow up with the Mayo and all was looking good until this past Thanksgiving when she complained of back pain. We were both shocked to hear the cancer had not only returned but had spread to her spine, liver and brain.

The prognosis was poor and in typical Maureen fashion she did her research, demanded from the doctors no BS and wanted to hear her chances for survival. She made her decisions, informed me how she wanted to handle this and we got after it.

She started home healthcare early February and home hospice early April. She passed away at home today April 25, 2025 at 11:00am where she was comfortable, safe and loved.

We built a life of love, promise, joy and fulfilled dreams. She was always at my side and me hers. Life has a way of bringing people together that were just meant to be and that was us.  

Through the working years she was always the one who got us grounded and established. She was extremely talented and organized. She was a Jill of all trades and not afraid to research what she didn’t know.

I will miss her dearly and look forward to continuing our journey when I join her in the future.

at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435

with catered Italian meal by Yarusso Brothers following.
