Bao Dinh Do Obituary

Bao Dinh Do passed away on 28 April 2025.  Bao was born in Viet Nam on 25 March 1943 to Do Kim Nhieu and Do Thi Dinh. In 1968, Bao was married to My Thi (Nguyen) Do. His wife and parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Linh Do (Scott Ulven) of Minneapolis, MN; sons, Le Do of Fort Collins, CO and Loc Do (Natalia Stepanova) of Denver, CO; sister, Yen Do (Quoi Huynh) of San Jose, CA; nephew, Brian Nhon Huynh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews residing in Fargo, ND and Viet Nam as well as other relatives in the U.S. and abroad.   


In 1979, Bao and his family came to the U.S. with the help of Lutheran Social Services and Pontoppidan Church in Fargo, ND. He worked for many years at Broadway Services Station as an auto mechanic and later as a laborer at Fargo Tank. After he retired from Fargo Tank, he and his wife moved to St Anthony, MN.


In his younger years, he enjoyed playing ping pong and soccer. He continued to watch soccer matches as well as tennis and other sports throughout his life. He loved reminiscing with friends and his cousins. He found joy in a good meal and traveling. He was able to make several trips back to Viet Nam and a trip to Malaysia; traveled to Europe, visited family and friends in California, went to Yellowstone, and an Alaskan Cruise with friends while in retirement. His happiest moments were spending time with his children, other family members, and friends.
