Obituary of Timothy Jerome Miller
Timothy Jerome Miller died of heart failure at age 62 on April 12th, 2025, at his home in Rogers, Minnesota. Tim was born in Minneapolis on March 18th, 1963, the son of Jerome L. Miller and Patrica C. Miller.
Tim was kind-hearted and sought fairness for everyone. He was determined, strong, and tenderhearted. Family and friends cherished his humorous and affectionate nature.
He grew up in Golden Valley, Minnesota in a home that sat on the edge of 150 acres of woods that became a young boy’s natural playground. During his younger years he played baseball and football, and was the only kid on the block that could ride a unicycle. He was a skilled downhill skier and a member of the high school slalom racing team. Tim graduated from Armstrong High School in Plymouth, Minnesota.
A few years after graduation he moved to Austin, Texas where he worked for a friend’s construction company building homes. Tim found more than construction in Austin; he found the Lord. Attending a spirit filled Christian church studying the bible and teachings of God, Tim’s life was forever changed in the most positive way imaginable.
Years later, Tim returned to the Twin Cities where he enrolled in North Hennepin Technical College for auto body paint and repair. Tim was a passionate and talented artist in his love for vehicles. Tim loved muscle cars, his BMW, and his Chevy ZR-2 pick-up truck. He enjoyed going with friends and family to car shows, drag strips, Coffee & Cars and working on vehicles with his son Garrett.
Tim pursued his next career in the flooring industry, following his father and younger brother Jeff. He completed a four-year Union apprenticeship program that focused on detailed and artistic craftsmanship. He spent over 25 years in the industry until the time of his retirement.
Tim and Renee were married in 1996 and lived in Hamel for several years. They had two children: Madalyn Louis and Garrett William. They lived in Osseo for many years. Tim later moved out to the Rogers area.
In his younger years Tim loved duck and pheasant hunting with his father, brother, and uncles. He enjoyed snowmobiling, country dancing, and family reunions. Later he enjoyed flea markets, camping, and spending time at his family lake property. He coached Maddie’s softball team and Garrett’s baseball.
Tim will be missed deeply by his children Maddie and Garrett. He is survived by Maddie and Garrett’s mom Renee Miller-Trella, his siblings Peggy Grap, Neillsville, WI; Mary (Jack) Carter Peabody, MA; and Jeffrey (Ronda) Miller Mpls, MN. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Timothy was proceeded in death by his father, Jerome Miller and mother, Patricia Miller.
Visitation will be Friday May 23rd at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Avenue North, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota from 9:30 to 10:30 am with a Memorial Service at 10:30 am. A luncheon will follow the Memorial Service, and interment will be at a later date.
