SORENSON, Shirley L., age 94, of Zimmerman, passed away on April 26, 2025.  She is preceded in death by her husband William P. Sorenson; baby girl Sorenson; daughter in-laws, Shelly Sorenson, Jan Sorenson; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  She will be deeply missed by her sons, Mark Sorenson (Diane), Dave Sorenson, Joel Sorenson (Chris), Brian Sorenson (Cathy); grandchildren, Misty, Mitch (Olivia), Vanessa, Beau; great grandchildren, Courtney, Alex, Keegan; sisters in law, Carol Atkins, Carol Johnson; many other relatives and good friends.  

Shirley was a master sewer and crafter.  Her artistic side came out in her painting and creative projects.  She played the psalmodikon with the Psalmodikon Players.  A member of the Red Hat Club.  Shirley was a loyal attendee of the Foslien Annual Picnic. She had a servants heart and loved to be of help to anyone who needed it. She's been a longtime member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Princeton and had grown up at Zion Lutheran in Anoka.  Bill and Shirley lived for 20 years in Aitkin, Minnesota on a lake home when Bill retired.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Thursday, June 5th at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 11700 293rd Avenue NW., Princeton (763-389-2115) with visitation at church 1 hour before Mass.  Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
