Obituary of Anthony John Buffington

BUFFINGTON, Anthony "Tony" Buffington passed away on April 23rd at the age of 51 from complications of Diabetes.  Tony is survived by his children, Grace and Alexander Buffington; his parents, John and Terri Buffington; sister and brother in-law, Jenny and Travis Grise; nephew Brayden; many other family and friends.  Tony is also survived by his former wife, Taylor Buffington, the mother of his children.

Tony is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Laurel and Bertha Buffington; maternal grandparents, Anthony Bourdeaux and Corrine Petersen.  

Tony loved being a dad.  He enjoyed taking his kids camping, fishing and four wheeling, Tony and Alex enjoyed playing video games, watching the Timberwolves, and watching thier favorite TV show "The Goldbergs".  Tony and Grace enjoyed watching sports, cooking, listening to music, going on drives and going to restaturants "just the two of them" to places no one else liked.  

Tony enjoyed cooking, especially trying new recipes, sports (especially the Minnesota Vikings), fantasy football, going up North, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.  

Tony was blessed with a tight-knit group of friends, many of whom date back to his High School days.  They demonstrated unwavering support for one another daily and have weathered life's challenges together.  

Tony will forever be remembered for his exceptional sense of humor and sarcasm, a reminder for us all to laugh and enjoy life.

Memorials to the family are preferred in lieu of flowers.  

Celebration of Life Friday May 9th at Coon Rapids Civic Center, 11155 Robinson Dirve NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.  Visitation 5-6pm.  Service begins at 6pm and dinner to follow.
