Obituary of Robert Blair Reinsmoen

Robert Reinsmoen, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at home in Edina on April 24, 2025. He was 76; the cause was cancer.

Rob was born in Mason City, Iowa, on December 20, 1948, and grew up on a farm outside of Joice. As a young man he moved to Minneapolis, where in 1970 he met a new neighbor, Mary, who later became his wife. Rob worked at DataCard in Minnetonka for 30 years, and he enjoyed spending time in Manzanillo, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his son Colin, brother Mark, sister Laura, and parents Lois and Ole.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary; daughters Bridgette, Natalie (Johnson), Holly (Robinson), and Joanna; grandchildren Ava, Fox, Vivienne, Theodore, Loretta, Ole, and Edith; sisters Mary, Jane, and Molly; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A celebration of life reception will be held

at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN

on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 from 12:00 to 3:00pm.
