Obituary of Brad Alan Sackman
Brad Alan Sackman, age 58, of Center City, MN, passed away on April 19th, 2025, surrounded by his loving kids.
He loved the outdoors and lived life hands-on—whether it was farming, growing veggies in the garden with the grandchildren, casting a fishing line, snowmobiling, or just washing his red Mustang on a sunny day. In his earlier years, Brad had a need for speed—tearing down country roads in his Trans Am and later in life cruising in his Mustang, always with a grin and a heavy foot.
Brad was the kind of man who led by example, even if it meant showing you the wrong way first—just so you’d learn how to do it right. He was supportive in the quiet, steady way that really mattered—always there when you needed him, always willing to roll up his sleeves and lend a hand. Brad would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought—no questions, no hesitation. You could count on him, and that meant everything.
He was also his kids’ biggest fan—never missing a game, meet, or practice. Whether it was in the stands or on the sidelines, Brad was always there, cheering them on, proud of every effort.
And when it came to advice, Brad kept it short and sweet: “Stay out of trouble.”
His greatest pride was his kids and grandkids. Brad was a devoted dad and grandpa, and is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Sackman, and his sons, Ridge Sackman and Clint Sackman. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Evelyn, Charleigh, Jack, Luke, Arabella, and Briar—all of whom lit up his world. He now joins his parents, Edward and Delores Sackman, who passed before him.
As per Brad’s wishes, no funeral will be held. Those who knew him are encouraged to honor his memory in their own way—by spending time with family, firing up a snowmobile, doing a burnout, working in the garden, or simply fixing something that needs fixing.
Brad was the kindest soul in the world—steady, strong, and deeply loved. He will be missed more than words can say, but his spirit will live on in every wrench turned, every garden planted, and every life he touched.
