Obituary of Paul Joseph Lipiarski, Jr.

Paul Lipiarski Jr, age 89 of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

The son of the late Paul and Stella Lipiarski, he was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Croydon, where he was involved in Boy Scouts and achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.  Paul later graduated from St Joseph’s College in Philadelphia.  For a long period in his life he lived in Bordentown, New Jersey where he raised his family.  While living in Bordentown, Paul taught history from 1958-1992 and was beloved by many, and was fondly known as Mr. Lip to his students.  While teaching he also directed many plays for the drama department, was advisor for many graduating classes, as well as various school clubs. In 1969, Paul served the Bordentown community as the elected Commissioner of Public Works.  Paul was a life long student, who enjoyed reading and learning new things, he also loved discussing current events with his wife, Marianne.  He loved to travel and even had an opportunity to teach in Moscow for a short period.

Paul was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol and former wife Veronica. 

After retiring in 1992, Paul married his loving wife Marianne in Palmyra, NJ.  They moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2012 where they resided until his passing.  Paul’s passion was his model train hobby and meeting with the train boys weekly. 

Survived by his wife Marianne de Bloeme, Paul’s children Eileen Olah, Paul Lipiarski (Scarlett), Barbara Gilmer (John), Joe Lipiarski (Justine), and step-children Pim Lustig (Kir), Debra Lustig, Jillian Lustig, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
