Obituary of Tara Lee Holmstrom
Tara Lee Holmstrom was born on July 12th, 1974, in Merrill, Wisconsin. She graduated from Cameron High School in 1992 and went on to explore many different paths in life. But of everything she did, being a caretaker was where she found her true calling. Her huge heart and undeniable warmth made her the perfect fit for the job.
Tara loved doing any and all activities outside – yard work, gardening, soaking up the sunshine, you name it. If it meant fresh air and staying busy, she was in. Being a Harley girl at heart made being on the back of a motorcycle, wind in her hair, one of her favorite places to be. A true busy bee, she was always moving, always working on something, always lending a hand, always showing up. And that’s exactly what she did best – she showed up. If you needed her, she was there. Day or night. To fix your problems, calm your nerves, and keep your world spinning.
But what kept Tara’s own world spinning was being a mom and grandma. Her daughters and grandchildren were her everything, and each carries a special piece of her with them now.
Her oldest, Jessica, will always cherish their tradition of planting flowers together every spring, along with all the little surprise run-ins when their paths crossed on the road – her heading home, Tara heading to work, both stopping for a happenstance visit. Kaylee, her second-born, will never forget the chocolate chip banana bread Tara baked every year for her birthday, the concerts they went to together, and how she could call her mom with any question imaginable, always knowing she’d have the answer. Her youngest, Dakota, will forever remember the way her mom never judged her, even when maybe she should have – but more than anything, she’ll miss having her as her best friend. Her grandson, Waylon, will miss watching TV with her and all the snuggles they shared the most. And her granddaughters, Teja and Lyric, will treasure their dinner dates, afternoons at the park, and being spoiled with presents by their grandma.
Tara is survived by her four daughters: Jessica (Rodney), Kaylee, Dakota, and Grace; her grandchildren, Teja, Lyric, and Waylon; her mother, Luann; and her sister, Amanda. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Anna Holmstrom, and her uncle, Dale Holmstrom.
Please rally to Buck N Beams in Cameron, Wisconsin to celebrate Tara’s life with us on May 11th from 2 to 4 PM.
