Michael Christopher Mills (65) died unexpectedly on March 1, 2025 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.  He was born in Duluth, MN on July 3, 1959 to Susan G. (Grady) Mills-Moriarity & Bernard Amos Mills.

Mike grew up in Duluth, then relocated to Edina where he worked for Sun Country Airlines for the past 27 years.  Mike was a gentle soul who was kind, giving, & loving.  His son, daughter-in-law, & grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed frequent visits to their house that included grilling & going to his grandkids activities as well as vacationing together.  He loved his brothers & sisters, keeping in touch with them & visiting them as often as he could, especially the local ones.  He also loved his Sun Country family.  He was proud to have worked there for so many years & gained a lot of friendships over the years.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike is survived by his son Jesse Mills, daughter-in-law Lori (Wirtz) Mills, granddaughter Hannah Mills, grandson Hayden Mills; brothers Jim (Bev) Mills & Charlie (Gayle) Mills; sister-in-law Dana Mills, sisters Susie Osterberg & Kathie (John) Trotta, bonus sister Patti Washnieski;  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bud Mills, & 6 days after Mike’s passing, brother Pat Mills.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Pinstripes in Edina, MN from 12-4 pm.  Mike will be laid to rest next to his mother at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth, MN for immediate family at a later date.
