Albert “Bud” E. Nordstrom April 13, 1929 – April 17, 2025
Albert "Bud" E. Nordstrom passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, in Hudson, Wisconsin, at the age of 96. He was a resident of Red Cedar Canyon in Hudson.
Bud was born on April 13, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Myrtle (Nordstrom) Visner and grandson of John A. Nordstrom and Martha L. Nordstrom.
He proudly served his country in three military branches: the U.S. Navy (1948–1949), U.S. Air Force (1949–1953), and the Army National Guard (1954–1957), fulfilling various duties with dedication in each role. A long-standing member of the American Legion in Monticello, MN, Bud shared this commitment with his brother, Dave Lofte.
Bud worked for the Minneapolis Post Office as a mail sorter for many years until his retirement in 1989.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping, fishing, boating, relaxing around a campfire, and enjoying an occasional beer with family and friends.
Bud is survived by his children: Terry (Carl) Reid, Bret Nordstrom, and Robyn (Dave) Corrin; brother Dave (Carrie) Lofte; grandchildren: Bryan (Crystal) Oliverius, Jason Nordstrom, Zach Nordstrom, Josh Nordstrom, and Dustin Oliverius; great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his son, Mark; his mother, Myrtle; his grandfather, John A. Nordstrom; his Grandmother Martha L. Nordstrom; his Uncle Albert Nordstrom.
A celebration of life gathering is pending and, in lieu of flowers or gifts, we welcome you in donating to The American Legion in Monticello, MN in his memory. http://www.americanlegionpost260.com/
