Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Ostrowski
Elizabeth Ann Ostrowski, 80, Duluth, died on Sunday April 20, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital due to complications from a severe stroke. Her family and friends surrounded her with love and prayers during her final days.
She was born in Duluth on August 12, 1944, to parents John and Dorothy Zywot.
Elizabeth ‘Betty’ worked at Wells Fargo Bank as a Data Processor for many years, until her retirement. Betty was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Duluth since 1967, and was very active with volunteering and prayer groups. She loved her Casino Trips where she could enjoy her Bingo and Casino food. She was an active member of the Red Hat Ladies Society and was Queen of her group.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband (Tony). Betty is survived by her children Michael Ostrowski, Duluth and Wanda (Lance) Whipple, Cloquet; sisters Barb Tasick, NY, Terrie (Bernie) Zylka, Duluth, and JoAnn (Steve) Maniak (Duluth); six grandchildren, Kayla, Amanda, Eric, Nic, Ben and Derek.
VISITATION: St John’s Catholic Church on Thursday, April 24 at 9:00 am, with Mass following at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Polish Catholic Cemetery. There will be a lunch served back at the church following the burial. In lieu of flowers, Masses for the repose of Betty’s soul are preferred. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Minnesota/Bells Brothers Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home.
