Obituary of Roseanne Marberg

 Rosanne K. Marberg, age 82, of St. Cloud, died Tuesday, April 13, 2025, at her daughter’s home in New Hope, MN.

A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon-4pm Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Rockwoods Restaurant in Otsego.

Rosanne Kathryn Marberg was born September 4, 1942, in St. Cloud, MN to Anthony and Rose (Popp) Thene. She grew up in St. Cloud, MN.  She graduated from Cathedral High School with the Class of 1960 and graduated with a degree in Music Education from St. Benedict College in St. Joseph’s, MN. On July 8, 1967, she was united in marriage to Donald Marberg at St. Augusta Catholic Church in St. Cloud. They made their home in Fridley before moving to St. Cloud in 1973 to raise their family. 

Rosanne taught music and was a substitute teacher that led to teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults through community ed.  Starting in the early 80’s Don and her owned several businesses in the St. Cloud area including a balloon and singing telegram service, a costume shop and a document preservation company.

Rosanne found true joy in her family and singing.  Rosanne led songs at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, she sang with Sweet Adelines and Fun Singers, and she performed the National Anthem at hockey and basketball games for SCSU. 

She is survived by her two children, Richard (Annalise) Marberg of Zimmerman and Kathy (Jeremy) Rothstein of New Hope; her six grandchildren, Fisher and Lillian Marberg and John C. (Anna), Basil, Gavin (Hannah), Rianna Rothstein; her one great-grandchild, Natalie Rose Rothstein; and her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; sister, Doreen; and brothers, Donny, Robert and David.
