Obituary of Joyce B Matuska

MATUSKA, Joyce, age 91, of Becker, previously of Brooklyn Park, passed away on April 11, 2025.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Matuska; son, Rick Matuska; sister, Rosella Medhaug.  Joyce held family above all else.  She loved to indulge her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Joyce was an avid seamstress and quilter.  She crafted hundreds of quilts.She attended many quilting retreats with her good friend, Jan. Family members cherish their quilts as a remembrace of her.  She was an avid bowler in her early years, an accomplished golfer with a competitive spirit that her husband knew well.  Joyce spent lots of hours gardening with her good friend Donna. She will be deeply missed by her children, Keith (Lori), Nancy Dwyer (Rick), Chelle Franks (Jeff); daughter in-law, Lynn Matuska; grandchildren, Eric, Michael (Jill), Jeffrey (Kelsey), Scott (Joelle), Kristin, Christopher (Heather), David (Kendra), Cayla (Chris); 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Bob Fust (Shirley), Mavis Thornberg, Bill Fust (Carole), Velma Schultz, Arlan Fust (Deb); many relatives and good friends.  Celebration of Life 1130am Friday, May 16th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park.  Visitation 1 hour before service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials prefered to Association for Frontal Temporal Dementia.  https://www.theaftd.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/
