David James "Dave" Ryba Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David James Ryba, beloved and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.  Dave left us on March 26, 2025, at the age of 66, with his wife Karen and family member's at his side.

Dave had a sincere interest in people who were going through difficult times whether emotional or physical.  And would offer words of encouragement or help in other ways. Dave’s love for his  family was immeasurable; he was their greatest supporter and champion, always placing their needs above his own.

In addition to his dedication to his family, Dave was a hardworking and committed professional. He spent over 35 years in the manufacturing industry, where he earned the respect of his colleagues and customers for his integrity and strong work ethic.

He had a remarkable talent for storytelling.  Whether regaling tales from his youth or sharing funny anecdotes from family outings, he had the ability to bring people together through laughter.

Dave took advantage of outdoor activities embracing those that he could share with someone and make it fun.

Dave was well read especially on American history and treasured those tales of the "old west".  He was always hopeful that the preceding generations would embrace these American liberties and freedom we so often take for granted.

Dave's enthusiasm for music created lasting memories and unforgettable moments.  He played the harmonica with "heart and soul" and at times with a band of friends at small public venues.  He believed in the power of a good song to uplift, and bring happiness, and his own playlists from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Glen Campbell (Wichita Lineman) often served as a soundtrack for gatherings, celebrations, and quiet evenings at home.  As we remember Dave, we can take comfort in knowing that his love for music will continue to resonate in our hearts, encouraging us to sing, dance, and cherish the harmony of life.

Many of us knew Dave from some years ago before his physical pain and failing body started taking control.  We are forever grateful to have known the real Dave from not so long ago.

Through tears and laughter, we carry on, For every dusk brings a bright new dawn.  And if we listen, through pain and strife, We’ll hear his laughter, the song of life.

Matthew 5:4: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."
