Obituary of Judith Ann Feigh

Judith Ann (Kaupa) Feigh, age 82, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.

Judy was born to Rudolph Otto Kaupa and Helen Mae Kaupa on January 5, 1943, in Fairfax CA. They later relocated to MN.

Judy graduated from Cleveland High School, Cleveland MN in 1960. She married D. Charles (Chuck) Feigh II, in 1961 and her two daughters were born from that union. Judy and Chuck later divorced.

Judy was a mother first and foremost. Her daughters meant the world to her and she truly loved them unconditionally. Her heart’s desire was for her girls to be happy and well.

While Judy devoted most of her life to homemaking and raising her daughters she also had success as a teaching paraprofessional working with challenging teens and as a sales associate with Dayton’s department store.

After her divorce, Judy rediscovered her love of dancing through country line dancing and singles dances. It was through dancing she met her true love, Wes. Through Wes she was introduced to golf and enjoyed her many times on the greens with him. She also enjoyed movies, card games, get-togethers and traveling with their many friends. She loved talking with people and was genuinely interested in them and their lives.

Judy is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Randy) Newsom, Laura Feigh; significant other and love of her life, Wes Walberg; her brothers: Gary (Jayne) Gehrke, Bob (Deb) Gehrke and her sister in law Betty Kaupa. She is further survived by 3 grandchildren: Kayla Newsom, Derek (Morgan) Newsom and Brittany Newsom; 6 great grandchildren: Lexi Newsom, Javon, Micah and TJ Williams, Lennon Newsom and Zorelle Jackson, along with 4 nieces, 4 great nieces, 2 great nephews and other extended family, friends and grandcat, Lila.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Herb Gehrke and her brother Rudy J Kaupa.

A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Easter Lutheran Church, 4200 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan  MN 55122. Visitation starting at 1:00pm. Services will follow.
