Delores (Dee) Gause of Plymouth, MN, age of 94 passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
A kind and wise person with a wonderful sense of humor, she will be greatly missed.
Born to Roy and Miranda Knutson of Sunburg, MN, Dee attended St. Cloud State and went on to teach at Oakwood Elementary in Wayzata.
A valued supporter of the wrestling programs at the University of Minnesota and St. Cloud State, Dee was the first woman elected to the Minnesota Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Dee was an avid follower of wrestling and MN Twins games. She liked her wildlife too, and made sure her feeders were always filled for the many squirrels, birds and other critters in the neighborhood. She was a dedicated member of AA for almost 40 years.
Dee is survived by daughter, Lauri Ordway (Bruce), son Todd (Donna), and granddaughter, Athena, and devoted son-in-law, Gary Pelcl.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband Jack, her daughter Karleen (Karlie), and many canine friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Dee’s home. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages honoring her memory through donations to Twin Cities Public Television (http://www.tpt.org/) or World Central Kitchen (https://donate.wck.org).
