Obituary of Kathy Jean Lindbloom
Rev. Kathy Jean Lindbloom "Mimi" (1944–2025)
Reverend Kathy Jean Lindbloom, lovingly known as "Mimi," passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kathy graduated from Robbinsdale High School before beginning her first career in 1976 at General Mills, where she worked for decades while earning her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1987.
Her passion for learning led her to pursue a Master’s Degree from United Theological Seminary, which she earned in 2000, followed by her Certificate of Ordination in 2006. Kathy then embarked on her second career as a Chaplain at North Memorial Hospital, Ridgeview Medical Center and Fairview-Southdale Medical Center. She found great fulfillment in providing spiritual support to those in need and took deep pride in officiating weddings and funerals.
A lifelong seeker of knowledge, Kathy was fascinated by world religions and devoted many years to studying Native American culture. She was an avid reader, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.
Kathy’s creativity and determination shone through in her love of home design—she designed and built three houses, a pursuit that brought her immense joy. She was also a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and support.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Clyde Liveringhouse, and her beloved grandson, Harrison Lindbloom. She is survived by her children, Chad Lindbloom and Stacy (Gary) Burns, as well as her grandchildren, Zoe Lindbloom (Reece Jacobson), Cameron Burns, Linnea Burns, and Tyler Burns, sisters Sue Tanner and Cindy Lillegren, brothers Larry Liveringhouse, Bruce (Donna) Liveringhouse and Kent Liveringhouse as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A service to honor and celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on April 22 at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel at 5125 West Broadway Ave, Crystal, MN 55429. Visitation at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am and Reception following.
Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and spiritual devotion. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering faith touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
