Obituary of Philip Augustinack
Phil was born on September 28th, 1944 in St. Cloud, MN and entered eternal life on April 1st, 2025. He is survived by his wife Catherine, daughters Lisa (Franz) Nisswandt, Jennifer (Greg) Bratvold, and Amanda (Adam) Breininger, grandchildren Lars, Sten, Greta, Eva, Rayna, Ethan, Madeline, Magdalene, and Benjamin, and sister Carol Dunn.
He married Catherine Lauer on November 30th, 1968 and later completed his training as a Biomedical Technician. He worked for UHS and later AllinaHealth where he spent most of his career.
He was a self-described inventor. He enjoyed spending time in his workshop creating things and was always willing to fix whatever was brought to him. He also loved music and was a member of several choirs. He belonged to Church choirs, Showtime Chorus, and Knights of Columbus. When he wasn’t tinkering or singing, he would travel the country with his wife and enjoyed being in new places.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wenzel and Teofilia (Woyak). and siblings Loretta, Walt, Ray, Pat, and George. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation at church starts at 10:00am, one hour before mass. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 24th at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Community at 8701 36th Ave N, New Hope, MN 55427. Luncheon and internment to follow.
