Obituary of Debra Ann Jackson

Debra “Debbie” Ann Jackson

Debbie Jackson (Stark) died Saturday March 8th from natural causes at home in her sleep. She was 73 years old. Debbie was born on an army base in New Jersey January 9th, 1952 to Jim and Loretta Stark. She graduated from White Bear Lake High School where she met the love of her life Bruce Jackson. They married in 1969 and had a daughter, Cindy. They gave it their best but divorced after 38 years.

From a young age Debbie was a very creative and skilled artist.  Whether using fabric, paint, beads, thread, glass or wood she created amazing items to sell or gift. She sold at hundreds of craft shows in the Midwest and Southern United States. Debbie was also a long time juried artist at the Uptown Art Fair featuring her Folk Art Santas.

There is no kinder person than Debbie. Her blue eyes lit up with her smile. She loved to talk and  was a great listener too. Her favorites were yard sales, feeding backyard birds, gardening, music (especially The Beatles), flamingos, anything purple, Sanibel Island and going to the movies. As an animal lover she always had cats, parrots and even a couple snakes. Her gentle soul will be terribly missed.

Preceded in death by parents Jim and Loretta. Survived by sister Linda (David), daughter Cindy (Joe) and grandsons Jackson and Thomas.

Celebration of life will be on Sunday May 18th, 1-4pm at 1701 W. 84th Street, Bloomington, MN. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Animal Humane Society or any animal shelter.
