Obituary of Donovan Dean Butler

Donovan Dean Butler, 35 of Burnsville after a brief fight with cancer (spoiler alert: he lost) on March 24, 2025.

Preceded in death by father, Dean Butler, Jr., grandparents Darrel and LaVerna Mau, Dean and Delilah Butler, cousin Jimmy Mau.

Forever loved and missed by soulmate Sara Severson, children Allie, Anthany, Alexia and Andrew, mother and stepdad Dianna and Curt Rieck, sister and womb-mate Shannon (Adam) Beckman, brothers and sisters Shevonne Toeller (Hans Lund), Dylan (Cecilia) Kirchoff, Stacie (Joe) Daculan, Melanie (Amanda) Bethke, Neil (Odalys) Butler, LaTesha Rieck, & David (Randi) Rieck; uncle and aunts Gary (Cossette) Mau, Valorie Johnson, Nancy Butler; cousins Chasity Schiesser, Nikki Wallenberg, and Dana Johnson, family friend Roger Newton. Many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025

at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435.

Visitation at 3:00 pm; service at 4:00 pm with a reception to follow.
