Obituary of Barbara Jean Whiting

Barb Whiting, age 77, died on March 21^st, 2025, following several years of health challenges with COPD, cancer, and heart conditions.

Barb was born in St. Paul to Joseph Sr. and Isabelle Miller, on February 10^th, 1948 as Barbara Jean Miller.  Her favorite hobbies included anything involving cooking: sharing and reviewing recipes, and trying them out when people came over for a dinner.

Barb was married to Bruce Whiting on December 15^th, 1994, enjoying 31 years of marriage, residing in White Bear Lake and later White Bear Township. They recently had just moved into Waverly Gardens retirement community in North Oaks. She was a loving sister to her siblings Bonnie and Joe, an aunt to four: Daniel, Jennifer, Josh, and Tyler. As well as a great aunt to five.  Family was always the most important to Barb. She always wanted to be sure everyone was taken care of, and had a place to spend a holiday meal.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 24^th, 2025, starting at 10am with visitation, with a funeral at 11, with lunch to follow, at the Church of St. Pius X, at 3878 Highland Ave, in White Bear Lake, followed by burial at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery. Barb loved flowers, and would love them sent in her honor to the church.
