Obituary of Mark Joseph Torborg

Mr. Mark Joseph Torborg, age 76, of Waconia, passed away Saturday morning March 29, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park of natural causes. He was born June 16, 1948, in Duluth Minnesota, a son of the late Leo and JoAnne Torborg. ‍Mark was a graduate of St. John’s University class of 1970 and of Benilde High School class of 1966. Mark spent his entire career as a teacher/coach at Waconia High School. He began teaching in 1970 and retired in 2013. Mark often expressed his love for teaching as well as for the community of Waconia. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Slavek and his brother-in-law Bruce Hyde. Mark is survived by his sister Dory Hyde, brother Thomas L. Torborg, sister-in-law Kris Torborg, brother-in-law Charles Slavek and 6 nieces and nephews. A private family service is planned for a later date.
