Obituary of Theresa L. Sundstrom

Theresa L Sundstrom passed away on March 26, 2025, at North Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. She was a resident of The Villas at Brookview in Golden Valley MN. She lived in Minnesota her entire life. She was born on December 6, 1937, in Duluth MN. She was a loving daughter to Samuel (Salvatori Liberatore Mario Lombardi) and Netti Lombardi (Capra). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy D. Sundstrom and her sisters and brothers; Annie, Bennie, Minnie, Christina (Christy), May, Mae, Lucella (Lucy), James (Jimmy), Sam Jr. She was a member of Bridgewood Church in Blaine MN. She loved cats, taking trips with her sisters Annie and Mae, and was thrilled when she went on a missionary trip to India. One thing many might not know about her is that she had gone on to have a secondary education at The Holiness Methodist School of Theology. One of her passions was reading especially the Bible and she read a few different versions of it. She had also loved going to the women’s retreats with the Bridgewood women. Her work career included working at Jacks Café in downtown Minneapolis and working as a cleaning lady at the Methodist church in Downtown Minneapolis. She is survived by her daughters Katherine (Kaite) Ann Semmer (Sundstrom) and Karen Lynn Sundstrom, her son-in-law Steven Semmer and her grandchildren Morgan A. Semmer and Zachary (Zach) R. Semmer, her sister-in-law Sharon Flannery (Sundstrom) and many nieces and nephews too numerous to name, but she loved all of them. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Bridgewood Community Church 11670 Lexington Ave NE Blaine MN 55449.
