Obituary of Katherine Eleanor Ross

Katherine “Kay” Eleanor Ross, 86, passed away peacefully at the Legacy of Farmington on 3/12/2025. Kay was born August 5, 1938 in Sioux City, the daughter of Harry and Jessie (Betts) Wilson. She was one of eight children born to the family and was the last sibling to pass. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husbands, Gene Baumgard and Bill Ross; children Paul and Joel. Kay was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, who was her Lord and Savior. She lived a life that reflected the love, grace, and teachings of Christ. Kay took great joy in sharing the message of God’s love and salvation. Kay loved to hand out Cross in My Pockets to anyone she would meet. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort to all who loved her. Kay will be remembered for her sense of humor, kindness and unconditional love. She especially enjoyed camping and road trips with family and friends. Her endless creativity impacted those who crossed her path. She was one of a kind and will never be forgotten. Survived by children, Jay (Mel), Marlene, Darin (Terese), Bill (Arlene); daughter-in-law, Denise; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date, where close family and friends will gather to honor and remember Kay’s life and legacy
