Obituary of Terry Gobel

GOBEL, Terry, age 68, of Duluth, formerly of Robbinsdale, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2025. Preceded in death by parents, Tom and Ginny Gobel. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 11 years, Beth Kallio; daughters, Sarah Gobel (Eric Sorsoleil), Becky Gobel (Briana Triviski); grandchildren, Logan and Jace Sorsoleil; brother, Jim Gobel (Kris); niece, Cassy Gobel; many relatives and good friends. His passions included golf, fishing at Red Lake, hunting deer in Alexandria, the MN Twins, Vikings, and watching old black and white western shows. Terry was well known for his wit and humor, and for being a friend to everyone. Terry graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout with a BS degree in Packaging, which allowed him to work in the packaging industry his entire career. Memorial Service 2pm, Sunday, April 13th at Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Avenue S., Edina with visitation 1 hour before service.An additional Celebration of Life gathering will be from 3:30pm – 6:30pm on Friday, May 16th at Forgotten Star Brewing Co., 38 Northern Stacked Dr., Fridley, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakeview National Golf Course, 1349 Highway 61, Two Harbors, MN, 55616 • (218) 834-2664.  Golf Office opens April 15th. Memorials will be donated towards the purchase of flower landscaping in honor of Terry.
