Obituary of Arvid Eugene Baumgartner

Arvid E. Baumgartner, age 96, of Coon Rapids, MN passed away on March 21st, 2025, at his residence.

A service and reception will happen early May at Ft. Snelling and VFW, date and time TBD. 

Arvid was a Korean War Veteran.  He loved to work.  He worked as a butcher at Red Owl, and Lunds/Byerly's until he was approximately 85!

Arvid loved his wife Caroline more than anything.  They have been married for 73 years since May 7, 1952.  Arvid had a great, very dry, sense of humor.   He loved his children and loved seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Arvid was proceeded in death by his two sons, Donn Baumgartner and Daryl Baumgartner. 

Arvid is survived by his loving wife Caroline Baumgartner as well as his children, Gregory Baumgartner (Nancy), Robin Baumgartner (Dave Skovlund), Daughter-in-law Mary Beth Baumgartner and his favorite niece (like another daughter) Sherri Jensen; his brother Glendon Baumgartner (Marvel), Daughter-in-law Holly Gramse; Grandchildren: Nathan Baumgartner, Aaron Baumgartner (Amber), Sara Baumgartner (Scott Cochran), Dale Baumgartner (Demi), Kevin Baumgartner (Taviah), Libby Baumgartner (Nathan), Joe Baumgartner; and his great-grandchildren children: Hailey, Mason, Sofia, Caleb, Davi, Rocky, Miles, Fern, Harvey and Milo.
