Ardith Elaine Carey, 93, of Duluth, MN, was Promoted to Glory on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Open Arms Assisted Living in Duluth, MN. Ardith was born in Troy, South Dakota to Rudolph Ernest Ferdinand and Elise Elaine (Hardy) Kettelhut. Ardith married Wallace Clifford Carey on Jan 22, 1949. They enjoyed many years together before his passing.  

Ardith is survived by her children, Clifford Wallace Carey, Ronald Leroy Carey; brother, David (Alva) Kettelhut; many grandchildren; great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Carey; her daughter, Sharon Elaine Swenson; siblings, Donald (Mary) Kettelhut, Deloris (Kettelhut) Morgando, Charles Kettelhut, LaWayne Kettelhut of Underwood, SD, and Gerald (Caroline) Kettelhut. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10am at First Memorial Funeral Chapel at 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN 55807. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Sunrise Memorial Park in Duluth, MN.  First Memorial Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
