Elvina (Viney) A. Carlson, 87, died Friday, March 14th, in Superior after a short illness.

Elvina was born on March 18, 1937, in Superior to Olaf and Marie Fjelling. She graduated from Central High School in 1955.  She married Jerry Carlson on October 28, 1955.

Viney is survived by her husband of 69 years Jerry, children Jerry (Lori), Dan (Patti), Dave (Chris) and Debbie, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her sister Irene Bednarzik. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Olga Munnings and Joyce Dahlman, and son-in-law Kevin O’Brien.

The family would like to thank Villa Marina, Essentia Hospital, and Essentia Hospice for their care of Viney. A private family celebration of Viney’s life will be held at a later date.
