Obituary of Mark Alan Bushaw

Mark Alan Bushaw

 April 2, 1956 – March 12, 2025

Mark Alan Bushaw, age 68, of Owatonna, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. He was born on April 2, 1956, in Dickinson, North Dakota, to Robert and Ethel (Cadreau) Bushaw and grew up in Austin, MN.

On August 6, 1983, Mark married the love of his life, Rebecca Kolb, at Queen of Angels Church in Austin, MN. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished family moments.

Mark was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He and Rebecca raised three wonderful children—Justin Bushaw, Adam Bushaw, and Karleigh Tillman—who were his greatest pride and joy. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, creating lasting memories, and sharing his wisdom and humor with his children and grandchildren.

He dedicated 35 years of hard work to Sara Lee Bread Company.

Outside of work, Mark found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cruising in his ‘63 Chevy, golfing, camping, bike riding, reading books to his grandchildren, and spending time with loved ones. His annual fishing trips with "the boys" were a highlight every year, and he never passed up the chance to enjoy a good BUSH burger.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rebecca; his children, Justin Bushaw (Lisa), Adam Bushaw (Tristeen), Matthew Eiler(Liz), and Karleigh Tillman(Timothy); and his nine beloved grandchildren. He is also survived by his 11 siblings, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Bushaw; his mother- and father-in-law, Joe and Gladie Kolb; and his beloved grandson, Markus, who was gone too soon but forever in his heart.
