Obituary of Mark Steven Wilhelm

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Steven Wilhelm, who left us unexpectedly on March 14, 2025, at the age of 70. Preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Rozella Wilhelm; siblings, Rick, Sue, Judy, and Vince Wilhelm. He is survived by brother Ken (Carol) Wilhelm and, sister-in-law Laura Wilhelm. Mark lived a life full of love, laughter, and kindness that touched everyone who knew him.

A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Mark’s greatest joy was his family. He was a proud father to his children Steven (Heather) Bateman, Mark Jr. (Cheryl), and Nick Wilhelm. He was also the most wonderful grandfather who always made time for his grandchildren Matt (Haley), Joslin (Danny),Davrin (Ashley), Olivia, Nicole, Jasmine, Lexi (Johnny), Dylan, and Devin. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering support were constants in the lives of those closest to him.

Mark was known for his wisdom, sense of humor, and genuine compassion. He had an incredible ability to make others feel seen and heard, offering a listening ear and sound advice to those who sought it. Whether sharing stories from his youth, offering a helping hand, or simply spending time in quiet companionship, Mark had a way of making everyone feel important.

Mark leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial service will be held on Friday April 4th at 2pm with visitation from 12-2pm at New Beginnings Church, 1510 Payne Avenue, Saint Paul MN, 55130.

Though Mark is no longer with us, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing that his kindness and love will live on in the many lives he touched.
