Obituary of Jonathan Lamar Kennedy

Jonathan Kennedy, 54, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John was born September 23, 1970 in Bradenton, Florida to Brenda Cox and Sherman Kennedy. John worked as a Mechanic, which he loved doing. John was also very creative and enjoyed drawing in his free time. 

John is survived by his children, Kimberly Nightengale, Brandon Noe, Zachary Strange, and Taylor Golden, his sister Kim Meyers and brother Wayne Meyers Jr., 5 grandchildren, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Cox, his step father Wayne Meyers Sr., his younger brother Michael Kennedy, and his grandson Eli Nightengale.

John will be remembered for his sense of humor and his free spirit. To know John was to know he was one of a kind. 

A memorial service will be held later in the year.
