Obituary of Judith Mary Lindahl

Judith Mary Lindahl, 83, of Woodbury, passed away on January 16, 2025, surrounded by family.

Judy was born September 26, 1941, to Anita and Clifford Ferguson, in Duluth, Minnesota. Her family later relocated to St. Paul. Judy lived on the Eastside of St. Paul for most of her life and graduated from Johnson High School in 1959. After getting married and starting a family, she returned to school, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State University in 1981 and an Associates degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling from Century College in 1999. Judy spent her 30-plus year career helping children and their families.

After retiring in 2010, she spent time enjoying her family, friends, and grandchildren, while staying physically active and engaged at her church. She especially loved attending her grandchildren’s sports and dance activities and spending time with friends outdoors and at YMCA water aerobics and step classes. Judy lived her life with abundant love for her family, friends, and animals of all kinds, while also maintaining an unwavering commitment to helping others, often placing their needs above those of her own.

She is preceded in death by her mother Anita, father Clifford, and sister Phillis. She is survived by her three children from a prior marriage, Brent (Lisa), Jason (Lori), and Mary (Dan Newton), and eight grandchildren (Connor, Emma, Simon, Abigail, and Elise Lindahl, Jack and Will Newton and Abby Spence), and her sister Debbie (Ferguson) Connolly.

A memorial service to honor Judy and celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior, at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Evergreen Cat Sanctuary. The family would also like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Stonecrest Senior Living for all their care and support.
