Obituary of Jason Guy Olson
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Guy Olson, who departed this life on January 28, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN.
Jason was born on September 27, 1967, in Sioux Falls, SD, Jason filled the lives of many with joy and laughter throughout his remarkable journey of 57 years.
Jason was the cherished son of Karen and Ted Olson. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Lisa Olson. Jason's legacy lives on through his four devoted sons, Tyler (Jessica), Connor (Bree), Ryley (Liela), and Casey (Ashley) Olson, and through his precious grandchildren, Ryder, Jayley, Gavin, Raena, Aiyanna, Izayah & Livy Olson. He is also survived by his loving parents, Karen and Ted, and his siblings Randy Rober, Christine Denio, Ron, Teddy, John, and Slade Olson, who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Known for his contagious sense of humor, Jason had a unique ability to liven any room he entered. His laughter and jokes brought light to even the darkest days, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Friends and family alike will remember him not just for his charming sense of humor, but also for the warmth and kindness he extended to everyone he met.
Jason's life was marked by deep affection for his family and friends. He forged connections wherever he went, always ready to lend an ear or share a hearty laugh. His spirit was vibrant, and his heart was generous, traits that endeared him to many. Jason's battle with heart complications was a difficult and painful journey, but he faced it with the same bravery and humor that defined his life.
A memorial service to honor Jason's life will be held on
Monday, February 24, 2025, at 6:00pm with visitation at 5:30pm and reception to follow
at the Cremation Society of Edina, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina, MN 55435
Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the joy he brought to those around him.
