Obituary of Olive Jane Keller

Olive Jane Keller, 95, of Two Harbors Minnesota, died peacefully on January 30, 2025, at Regent in Burnsville, Minnesota. Olive was born in 1929, in Two Harbors, Minnesota, the daughter of Lawrence Claffy and Fay (Davis) Claffy. She graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1948. After graduation, Olive then moved to California for several years to be near her brothers. She had a brief marriage there resulting in the birth of her first two children (sons). She eventually moved back to Two Harbors and later married Robert Edward Keller in 1954. They raised their five children in Knife River Valley, in their dream home built by Robert, located next to the Big Knife (river). This was to be the location of many family and friend(s) gatherings during winter or summer. Olive was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. She obtained voice lessons while living in California and sang with the San Francisco Opera. Later in life while living in Two Harbors, she sang at many weddings, funerals and other special events. She also gave voice lessons which was one of her passions in her life. She directed and was involved in many community plays. She gave to her community with outreach to the poor. She was a long time member and choir director of the United Church of Two Harbors. But what gave her the most happiness, was all of her many grand and great grandchildren that she had been blessed with over the years. She touched the hearts and souls of so many around her in what she gave to family and the community. That love will be deeply missed by all. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Keller, daughter Vivian, and siblings Jack, Willian, Joseph, Larry and Charles.
