Obituary of Raymond Leon Dus

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our brother Raymond Leon Dus who passed away on January 10, 2025 at his residence in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.  

Raymond was born on July 24,1959 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Frank and Lottie Dus.  He was raised on the family farm near Lublin, Wisconsin and graduated from Thorp High School in 1977.  Soon after graduation he joined the United States Army and served as an Aviation Operations Specialist both stateside and abroad from 1977 through 1993.  After his service in the US Army he continued to work in the aviation field as a dispatcher in Indianapolis, IN and Minneapolis, MN.  He retired fully from the workforce in 2020 and spent the last few years enjoying life to the best that his body would allow him.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lottie Dus; sister, Arlene Moehring, and brother-in-law, Dean Emry.  Raymond is survived by his sister Frances Emry of Holcombe, WI, his brother Frank (Felicia) Dus of Schaumburg, IL, four nieces, and extended family members and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cremation Society of Minnesota.  A private service will be held at a later date.
