Obituary of Jill Darlene Boisen

Jill Boisen (Haynes), 66,  passed away peacefully Jan. 15, after a courageous battle against stage 4 lung cancer. 

Jill was born September 9, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Charles and Phyllis Haynes. Jess Haynes (brother) and Jill fondly remembered their summers at the cabin on Half Moon Lake, where they spent every moment on the water. 

In 1976, Jill graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School. She was hired at St. Jude Medical in 1984, which would kick off a 40 year career. Jill worked as a senior technician and assisted with heart valve manufacturing. She resided in Vadnais Heights making many cherished memories raising her daughter, Randi.

Jill was a voracious reader and would finish multiple books per week. She also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, and went for countless summer rides with her boyfriend, Mike (Gump). The Vikings were another passion of hers, and she never missed watching the game. Jill’s most treasured time will always be the time spent with loved ones.

Jill is survived by her daughter Randi Boisen, Brother Jess (Terri) Haynes, Step-brothers Dennis and Darren Doyle, Step Sister Mickey Saenz, half sister Ann Haynes, Partner Mike “Gump” Christofore, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Haynes, mother Phyllis Doyle (Haynes) and aunt Doris Manson. 

Jill will be especially remembered for her captivating spirit that touched all who knew her.
