Obituary of Roger G. Brummer
Roger G. Brummer, 75, of Hermantown, died peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025.
He was born in Duluth on July 23rd of 1949 to LeRoy and Doris Brummer. Roger attended East High School and served his country with the 148th Fighter Wing unit of the Minnesota National Guard for thirty-six years, where he achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant before retiring in 2004.
Roger loved renovating his houses and found joy in repairing anything from electronics to cars. You could always find him in the garage doing repairs and woodworking projects while listening to bluegrass music. He was an avid traveler and had circled the globe with his wife Claudia and the friends that they made along the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Roger is survived by Claudia, his wife of 54 years; his brother Roy (Lynda) of Chippewa Falls, WI; sons Gary (Melinda) of Tampa, FL; Jeffrey (Sara) of Collingswood, NJ; grandchildren Kevin, Henry, Elizabeth; nieces Pam and Brenda; extended family and friends.
Memorial Service and Visitation: Wednesday, February 5th at 1 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, located at 4100 Grand Avenue in Duluth. Entombment: Thursday, February 6th at 10 AM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Duluth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aspirus St. Luke's Cancer Care, 1001 E Superior St #101, Duluth, MN 55802.
