Obituary of Richard Carl Stoeckmann
RICHARD "DICK" CARL STOECKMANN
Richard Carl Stoeckmann, 85, died Sunday, January 12, 2025 at his home in Princeton, Minnesota of natural causes. Dick was born July 8, 1939, as one of 6 children in Glencoe, MN to Alma and Carl William Stoeckmann. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from North High School in 1957. He was drafted into the service and was honorably discharged from the military in December of 1957. Dick was a man of many trades from a businessman to home building and selling real estate. In 1993 he moved to Princeton, MN where he resided and lived for over 32 years. Dick operated and owned his own company in the recycling business, calling his company Precious Metals of Princeton or PMP.
We will cherish the countless memories of weekends at the cabin, with his kids and grandchildren. He loved fishing, traveling, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with family. His passion over the past several years was playing cards and entering poker tournaments at Running Aces Hotel & Casino in Forest Lake, MN, where he made many friends. Dad was dedicated and took immense pride in his work, but his greatest fulfillment came from being a father, grandfather and recently a great-grandfather.
Richard is survived by his children, Sheri (Troy) Swanson of Hawaii, Kimberly (Joseph) Hofman of Maple Lake; grandchildren Zachary (Laura) Swanson, Adam (Alexis) Cortes-Swanson, Nathan (Emily) Maas, Miranda Swanson, and Madison Maas; great-granddaughter Rue SheriAnn Cortes-Swanson; along with many special nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends (long time friend and neighbor George Lund).
Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date this Spring or Summer.
Memorials preferred to be made in Richards memory to Shriners Children's Hospitals or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
