Obituary of Luanne Mary Graham
Luanne Mary Graham Javorina, 68, died peacefully on January 1, in Solvay Hospice House, secure in her family’s embrace.
She was born February 19, 1956, in Duluth, to Irene (Gagne) and John Graham, the third of their five children.
She graduated from St. Rose School in Proctor, the Duluth Open School and the College of St. Scholastica in nursing. She later earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
As a qualified rehabilitation consultant, she founded her own company, IMCI, where she worked until her retirement.
Her cause of death was metastatic breast cancer.
Luanne is survived by her husband Paul Stephen Javorina, two step-children: daughter Lynnae and her children, Aubrey and Amelia; and son Colin, his wife Crystal MacFarlane and their children, Eva, Davin, Brooklyn and Sarah.
She is also survived by her brother, Fr. William C. Graham, and her sisters: Sherry Graham, Gloria Graham, and Julie (Clark) Averill.
Visitation will begin with evening prayer at 5 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8 at First Memorial Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, in the Cathedral of Christ the King, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior, WI. Abbot Jonathan Licari, OSB, will preside. Her body will be received at the Cathedral and visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Luanne will be buried in the hope of the resurrection in Forest Hill Cemetery, Duluth.
