Obituary of Cynthia Graves

Cynthia "Cindy" Grace Graves, 59 of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Morning, December 25, 2024.

Cindy was born in Sacramento, CA. on June 3rd, 1965, to Richard and Nancy (Stubb) Eckstrom; at the age of 3 she moved with her mom to Superior, WI. Cindy graduated from Superior High School; following she received her bachelor’s degree in social work at the University of Superior Wisconsin.

On August 26th, 1989, she was united in marriage to Donald "Don" Graves in Proctor, Mn, where they proceeded to build a home, life and family. She was a devoted member of the Elim Lutheran Church. Throughout her years helping her friends and family, Cindy enjoyed crafting, shopping, cooking, music, camping and date nights every Friday night with her husband. Cindy loved her work at Aftenro in Duluth where she made many friends. She had a gift for remembering important events such as birthdays, anniversaries and being helpful to anyone in need.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Don; her two sons, Matthew (Mariah) and Jacob (Ceara); mother-in-law, Jean; brothers-in-law, Dale (Tara) and Wayne (Eve) and many nephews, extended family and friends.

Cindy was preceeded in death by her parents, Richard and Nancy; stepfather, Ed and father-in-law, Richard.

Visitation to be held at 11:30 on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at the Elim Lutheran Church, 6101 Cody St. Duluth, MN. With the memorial service and luncheon to follow.
