Obituary of Robert Raymond Prawdzik

ROBERT RAYMOND PRAWDZIK, 1941-2024


It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Raymond Prawdzik, who left us
peacefully on December 22nd at the age of 83. Born on July 22, 1941, Robert lived a life full of love,
kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.


Robert was born in Chicago, Illinois to Ruby and Ray. He attended Morton High School. Robert is survived
by his loving spouse, Karen (Kasey); his children, Chris, Kerry, and Cory; his grandchildren, Cooper, Jake,
and Campbell; and his sibling, Carol Przyzycki. He also leaves behind a large extended family and a wide
circle of friends who will miss him dearly.


Robert pursued his higher education at the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Masters in
education. His academic achievements were a testament to his dedication and passion for learning.
Bobby (as he was called by Sid Hartman and his mother) was also a proud member of the 1960 National
Championship Gopher Football team. Ski-U-Mah.


After completing his education, Robert embarked on a successful career as an educator and coach in the
Hopkins school district, where he was highly respected for his expertise, professionalism, and leadership.
His commitment to his students, and athletes was unwavering, as he made a lasting impact on the lives
of many. Robert loved athletics and valued the life lessons sport provided young athletes coaching;
Football, Basketball, Track and Field, Tennis, and Downhill Skiing.


A celebration of Robert's life is being planned for this summer. Family and friends are invited to join in
honoring his memory and sharing stories of the joy and love he brought into their lives. A fiesta
celebration of his very favorites including; Family, Friends, Mariachi’s, and Spicy Mexican Food. Details to
be shared.


Robert’s life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and kindness. Though he may no longer
be with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say our
final goodbyes, we hold onto the precious memories and the enduring legacy he leaves behind. Rest in
peace, dear Robert. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
