Obituary of Margo Ann Kirchoff
Margo Ann Kirchoff, 71
May 15, 1953 – December 21, 2024
Margo Ann Kirchoff passed peacefully at home in Minneapolis, surrounded by the love and care of her daughters, as was her wish.
Margo was born on May 15, 1953, to Harold and Lois Norstrom. Margo’s life was a beautiful testament to selflessness and care. She touched the hearts of all who knew her with her kind spirit, nurturing nature, and her tireless devotion to those she loved.
Margo was a natural caregiver who took immense joy in caring for others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, always ready to offer support and comfort. Her love of cooking was one way she showed her care—she loved preparing meals for her family and friends, as well as always making sure to never let the wildlife that visited her yard go hungry. She loved creating a warm and inviting atmosphere around the table. Her home was a place where people felt loved and welcome, whether for a meal, a chat, or a holiday celebration.
Margo was highly organized and thrived on creating memorable experiences for her loved ones. She had a creative spirit that shone brightly in many aspects of her life. She made Halloween costumes for her daughters each year, putting her heart into every stitch, and threw the best birthday parties that were full of fun, laughter, and lasting memories. Her children and grandchildren will always cherish the memories of the games they played together on holidays and how much she cherished those special memories they made together. She was an avid gardener that took great pride in her yard and beautiful, thriving garden.
Margo also had a deep love for her community. She was always there to lend a hand to her neighbors and could make anyone feel like family. Whether it was helping or just sharing a kind word, she was someone who made a difference in the lives of those around her.
Margo is survived by her loving daughters: Vicki (Chad) Hoerl, Rebecca (Jamie) Knapp, Karrie (John) Grayden, and Heather (Matt) Fischer; Grandchildren, Jerrad, Zack, Jordann, Amber, Brooke, Austin, Mackenzie, and Hailey; and five Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Al (Randi), Les (Nancy), and Tammy (Danny), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harold and Lois, and her grandson, Dylan.
Margo’s life was one of love, creativity, and dedication. She was strong willed, independent, and strongly committed to her values. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of care, compassion, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
A private dinner will be held to celebrate Margo and the great impact she had on all those who knew her.
