Catherine Ellen Holzman, 77, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away on December 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 5, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, Catherine grew up with a deep love for animals—especially dogs and horses—and a passion for music and culture. She was truly one of a kind, remembered for her silliness, fiery spirit, and larger-than-life personality.

Catherine is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Greuchek, Nicole (Steven) Schneider, and Olivia (Micah) Shagoury; and her three cherished grandchildren, Kyla Palmquist, Hudson and Boden Shagoury. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Kenneth Holzman, with whom she shared over 30 loving years.

A private family service will be held to celebrate Catherine’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI supports local and state chapters that provide mental health services to individuals without insurance or relying on state funding such as Medicaid and Medicare.
