Obituary of Kathy Lyn Peck

Kathy Lyn (Grafe) Peck passed away on December 13, 2024, at North Memorial Hospital.

Kathy was the beloved mother of Erik Jacobson and Betsy (Jacobson) Lowther and son-in-law Jesse Lowther. She was also cherished by her grandchildren, Levi and Samantha Lowther. Kathy is survived by her siblings Pauline (Dean) Radke, Paula Marquardt (Jerry Rayala), Tom (Cindy) Grafe, and other loved family members from El Salvador, including Camila (like a granddaughter to Kathy).  Kathy is also survived by step-children LeRoy, Curt, Steve, and Jenny.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Argene Grafe and Jennie (Jeniece) Grafe, and her beloved husband Dennis Peck.

Born in Spencer, Iowa, Kathy spent her early years in Iowa before moving to Grand Meadow, Minnesota, where she spent her childhood. In 1968, she relocated to the Twin Cities, where she spent most of her adult life. Kathy built a fulfilling career as a dental assistant at Blue Ridge Dental Center, where her dedication and care left a lasting impression on colleagues and patients alike.

Kathy had a lifelong love for horseback riding and found joy in reading books. In recent years, she dedicated herself to volunteering as a hospice attendant at the St. Cloud VA, a role that brought her immense pride and purpose. She also delighted in cheering on her grandchildren, Levi and Samantha, at their hockey games, always offering unwavering support. Those who knew Kathy will remember her for the positivity she radiated.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Chapel, 7110 France Avenue S., Edina, MN 55435. After the service, attendees are invited to stay and visit with family and friends as they celebrate Kathy’s life.
