Obituary of Darin Long

Darin Long was born on December 5, 1975 in Duluth, Minnesota. He peacefully passed into eternity at the age of 49 on December 13, 2024.

Darin was a baptized member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. He was born and remained a sweet child of God as he struggled through life with his many developmental challenges. Darin was known for his friendly, outgoing, and very loving nature.

Darin is survived by his siblings- Carla (Ed) Hendrickson of Duluth, MN; Don (Sheila) Long of Battle Ground, WA; and Shawn (Vanessa) Morris of Duluth, MN; his stepfather, Ed Morris, of Pace, FL; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and Christian friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents- Ronald Long and Donna Long Morris, his special Uncle, Dick Bruckelmyer, his grandparents, and his nephew, Mick Johnston.

A special Thank You for Darin’s loving care is given to REM Arrowhead’s Falcon House staff.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Duluth, 5755 Ryan Rd. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17th, and 10:00 to 11:00 am Wednesday prior to the service, all at the church.  Interment in Spring 2025 at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church Cemetery.
