Obituary of Roger Livdahl
Roger Livdahl (90), Child of God, husband, father, grandfather, and amateur harmonica player, passed away peacefully 11/28/24. Born to William and Ruth Livdahl he joined siblings; Amy, Buddy, Evonne, Eva, Jim, and later, Gerry on their farm in Rustad, MN.
Roger graduated from Comstock HS, Concordia College, and Luther Seminary. Ordained in 1961, he served Lutheran parishes: 4 near Grand Forks; Olivet in Fargo; Tofte & Lutsen; and Concordia in Superior, WI.
Roger felt called to help the less fortunate. He directed Church World Service’s MinnKota hunger program and then the ELCA’s international hunger appeal. Roger loved travel and touched down in 47 countries, he marveled that God called a farm boy who detested onions to do such important work.
After he retired, Roger volunteered primarily at Global Health Ministries, distributing unused medical supplies around the globe.
Roger leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Barbara; Kids Mike (Nancy), Dan, Kristi Lilleberg, Paul (Jill) and grandchildren; Andrew, Nick, and Christian Lilleberg, Dacotah Moline Livdahl, and Quinn (Mariya) and Li Livdahl.
