Elaine Johnson, age 91, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on August 30, 2024. She will be remembered as being a wonderful mother, wife, sister, and friend.

Elaine had a talent for making people feel special and enjoyed good company over a cup of coffee and one of her homemade cookies. She loved being a school bus driver and her kindness was recognized daily.

Elaine was born on December 31, 1932, in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from North High School where she met her husband, Jerry Johnson. They began their married life in Minneapolis and then moved to St. Louis Park where they raised their four sons. They then moved to Minnetonka where they lived out the remainder of their years.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Steve (Judy); parents, John Roy and Marie Larson; siblings, Kenneth Larson and Mardell Hilden.

Elaine is survived by children, Wayne (Sylvia), Doug, Jeffrey (Brenda); sister, Ruth Lagace, and brother, Duane Larson. In addition, Elaine is survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in Elaine's honor on Saturday, September 28th at 10:30 am at the Cremation Society (7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN) with a lunch to follow.
