Donald J. Drum

Donald passed away on June 1^st, 2021 at the age of 74 while in Hospice at Birchwood Care Center in Forest Lake, MN.  Donald leaves behind his special friend of many years, Sharon Dontje-Yell.  He is also survived by his sister, Vernita (Dale) Kennen and a daughter, Christine Drum.  As a proud member of the Masonic Family, Don was initiated into Hiram Lodge #287 in Lindstrom on January 20^th, 1981, and he was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on May 9^th, 1981.  Don earned his 25 year pin in 2006 and received the Hiram Award for his commitment and dedication to the Hiram Lodge and the fraternity on October 15^th, 2010.  Don was also a lifetime member of Helios Lodge #273 and Mora Lodge #223.  Don was a consummate story-teller and entertained (willingly or not) everyone he met with stories of growing up in Chisago City, his past adventures, and numerous jokes that were so bad, they were often good.   A memorial service, led by Pastor Sarah Kerkes and Masonic Funeral Rites will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday June 27^th, 2021 at the Masonic Lodge in Lindstrom – 13005 Lake Blvd, Lindstrom, MN 55045.  A luncheon will follow directly in the Lodge Kitchen, where all are invited to share their stories and memories of Don.  A private interment will be held at Chisago Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Minnesota Masonic Charities.
