With great sadness we share the passing of our very beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend on March 27, 2021 at home in Floodwood, MN with her family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents Stan and Ruth Albertson and her husband Walter ‘Lefty’ Watczak. Judy, age 72, is survived by her daughter Tammy (Jamie) Peterson, Granddaughters Tara (Aaron) Jarvenpa, Tasha (Darrell) Ford, Great-grandchildren McKennah, Ethan and Elijah all from Floodwood, MN. Her sister Barb (Robert) Hammond of Tucson, AZ. Nephews Robbie Hammond of Tucson, AZ and David (Karri) Hammond of Aurora, CO. Special friends Linda LaTour and Ray & Tammy Brutger of Duluth, MN, and her beloved dog Ellie.

Judy was born on May 18th, 1948 in Duluth, MN to Stan and Ruth Albertson. She was a 1966 graduate of Denfeld High School in Duluth, MN. Judy loved her career as a child support worker for St. Louis County in Duluth, MN where she was employed for over 30 years.

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her daughter, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She loved shopping, scratch off tickets and going to the casino. Judy had the hugest heart and would do anything for anyone. She was always so glamorous and had her lipstick matching her fingernails.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 3rd, 2021 at 3 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior at the Cremation Society of Minnesota at 4100 Grand Avenue in Duluth, MN.

Our family would like to extend our thanks and immense gratitude to the staff of Essentia Health Home Hospice team for their caring and kindness through this difficult time.
